The Careers Guidance Team is a fully Matrix accredited service. Our role is to lead the development of careers education, information and guidance in the College, and helping students to overcome barriers to progression, learning and employment. The Careers & Employability Team is part of the Student Experience Directorate and specifically sits within the Personal Development Department.
The team is led by our Personal Development Manager, who is a fully qualified Careers Adviser and a Registered Career Development Professional with the Career Development Institute (CDI). In addition, we have two professionally qualified Careers Advisers (Level 6 & 7) who work across all of our campuses with our 16-18 year olds or 19+ with an education, health and care plan (EHCP) and who specialise in personal guidance. In addition, we also provide Careers Information Advice & Guidance to our Adult Learners via the National Careers Service. Finally, we also have the support of a SUN Progression Mentor, who supports our Uniconnect cohort and supports with all progression activities across the College.
The Careers Guidance Team can be found at both of our main campuses at our Careers Ready Hubs.
