In response to the Government enforced lockdown, Bournemouth & Poole College remains ‘open’ thanks to investment in software which allows students to be taught virtually online.
Diane Grannell, Principal of Bournemouth & Poole College, explained: “At this difficult time, the education and safety of our students is paramount and we remain dedicated to their development, despite the current global health crisis. Even in these unprecedented times, we had a contingency plan in place for our students which meant that within a matter of days we were teaching online.”
Update: COVID-19 - College sites, virtual learning and virtual working

From Wednesday 18th March 3pm, we will be closing the College sites to students. As of Monday 23rd March, all learning will move online and students will be home/remote studying with staff also working remotely.
Bournemouth & Poole College has opened the car park of its North Road site for free parking for NHS staff while working at the nearby Poole Hospital.
Diane Grannell, Principal of Bournemouth & Poole College, explained: “In response to the current COVID-19 situation, both sites of the College are closed to students and staff and we have moved all learning to online.
On Tuesday 3rd March, Bournemouth & Poole College hosted the South West regional heat of Johnstone’s Trade Young Painter of the Year.
Comprised of seven regional heats held up and down the country, the Johnstone’s Trade Young Painter of the Year Competition is a prestigious painting and decorating competition which celebrates young talent.
