Students should be able to progress onto a Level 2 full-time course or an Apprenticeship and our experienced staff will work closely with you to help you succeed
What jobs can I get?
On completion you should have the confidence to gain employment as a labourer within the industry whilst continuing your studies to become fully-qualified
What do I need to apply
To do this course you should have...
Minimum English and Maths GCSE Grade 1 or Foundation Entry Level 3 qualification and have achieved a Level 1 in Functional Skills English and Maths. Depending on grades on entry the study programme will include GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English.
What about work experience?
You will be expected to complete 30 hours' of Work Based Experience activities.

Practical and theory training to give you basic knowledge of:
- Health and Safety
- Marking and Setting Out
- Produce Wood Working Joints
- Produce Carpentry Products
- Employability Skills (Interview Techniques, CV Writing, Employer Workshops, Maths and English)
- Work experience
- Community projects
You be required to complete 30 hours' work experience
There will also be an oportunity for students to achieve extra units for a higher level pass if desired
