What do I need to apply
To do this course you should have...
You will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and maths grades 9-4 (formerly A*-C) Alternatively, achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and maths and successful completion of a Level 2 Automotive Diploma (Maintenance & Repair).
What about work experience?
All students studying on this programme will have a placement in a local Automotive establishment to gain valuable work experience to prepare them for employment.

Course Content
Through a mixture of theory and practical lessons, you will develop the essential skills and knowledge required to work in the Automotive industry.
We will cover topics including but not limited to:
• Health, safety and good housekeeping
• Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices
• Support for job roles
• Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle engine faults
• Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle auxiliary electrical faults
• Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle chassis system faults
• Skills and Knowledge in Inspecting Light Vehicles
