Preparing you for a successful career
Study with us for a career in forensic, crime scene investigation and other science based roles.
Are you fascinated by the use of science in medicine? Would you like to conduct your own crime scene or fire scene investigation? If the answer is yes, then we’re the place for you.
At the College, you’ll benefit from small class sizes and state-of-the-art equipment in our STEM centre, as well as a crime scene room and research lab. You’ll also get the opportunity to work on live research projects with the support of our expert tutors who are supported by highly qualified lab technicians. Educational visits will also be a part of your course, such as a fire scene investigation event at Firewise, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service’s purpose built facility in Weymouth.
We put a lot of emphasis on preparing you for work or university study. All of the courses we offer will develop the skills and practice needed for that next step in your career. We work with a number of businesses for work placements and field trips so you get the practical, hands-on experience alongside your course. We work with the NHS, funeral directors, dentists, GP surgeries, care homes and engineering companies.
We have very close links to universities and many of our past students have gone on to study at Southampton University, Bournemouth University and more. If university is not for you, our students have also gone on to a wide range of jobs, including forensic computer investigator with Ernst & Young and biomedical scientist at Bournemouth Hospital.
