Gain practical care skills and experience in The College’s Care Innovation Centre
The Care sectors are predicted to be areas of employment growth over the next five years. There are currently 13,000 care workers locally and with a number of new care homes, dementia care homes and social care facilities in the local area, there are plenty of opportunities for work.
We work closely with local organisations and schools across the region to make sure we are giving you experience that is relevant to the industry and the skills that employers are looking for.
This is why we have an on-campus Care Innovation Centre. It is the perfect place for you to begin your career with industry standard equipment seen in many care homes and schools and expert tutors who have worked in of the care sector.
We understand the importance of giving you practical experience in the care sector, so in addition to the Care Innovation Centre, all of our courses have a practical element to them, giving you the opportunity to try working in different settings and to complete practical assignments.
