Working in our public salons and makeup studios you will gain valuable experience in offering a professional salon service, including customer care, client consultation and professional treatments in a realistic working environment.
You will have access to well equipped hairdressing salons and makeup studios situated at our Lansdowne campus in central Bournemouth.
What do I need to apply
To do this course you should have...
Sucessful completion of industry related Level 2 qualification (in hair/make-up or beauty) and a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grades 9-4 (formerly A*-C) or a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and Maths.
If you do not posess industry related qualifications, then you would need to study our L2 Beauty or L2 Hair Media Make up study program before embarking on this Level three program.
What about work experience?
You must complete a minimum of 45-60 days work experience during the academic year as decided by your tutor, which is likely to consist of 1 day per week and a block of two weeks. This is compulsory for 16-18yrs old, but 19+ there may be some flexibility with this.
International entry requirements
If you are not from an English Language speaking country, you will need to have UKVI IELTS 5.5. We accept a wide range of academic qualifications awarded overseas and use the UK NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) guidelines for international comparisons.
