Congratulations to Jack Wieland and Hannah Bastable at The Bournemouth & Poole College. They are hailed as the college’s Exceptional Students 2015 and were recognised at a glittering ceremony at plush Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth.
More than 160 staff students and parents saw Jack and Hannah receive their awards which recognised the level of commitment and hard work they put in last year. The ceremony also acknowledged the stand out students across all curriculum areas, based on the quality of their work and commendable attitude towards their studies. The awards were presented by Vice Principals Sharon Collett and Michael Johnson.
Jack was outstanding on his BTEC Diploma in Forensic Science. He was cited as a great example to others with his 100 per cent attendance record and extra work to catch up with his maths. He invested additional time into the course work and became one of the highest achieving students. Jack is hoping to go on to a HND in Applied Biology.
Hannah was winner of the 2015 Apprentice of the Year. She not only achieved the highest Association of Accounting Technicians academic qualification, but she is also the first student at the college to have completed the challenging Level 4 Accounting and Business Apprenticeship. She’s now moved on to the even more challenging Advanced Professional Accounting Qualifications.
